The development of the National Spinal Cord Injury Registry of Iran was officially launched in 2014 with the direct support of the Diseases and Health Outcome Registry Department of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and approval of the proposal submitted by the Sina Trauma and Surgery Research Center. Following the approval of the program as the National Spinal Cord Injury Registry of Iran (NSCIR-IR), the project’s executive structure, processes, case report forms, guides, and software were designed and ready for use.
